Fase uno

Ok, tanto per cominciare installiamo il design: Txp RIN e diamo subito a Cesare quel che gli spetta: ecco, in veste formale e ufficiale, i Credits.

Rin is an extension of the original Manji theme. The development was done by Khaled Abou Alfa and Joshua. Originally released 30th January 2005.

Please go read the FAQ on www.brokenkode.com/board for further information. Joshua (aka Alphaoide) has been helping complete this project in the wake of Root’s disappearance.
Also a big shout out to Franchesco Anselmo & David Prince for their invaluable support. Also I’ve got to thank the wordpress forums for all the little help in solving loads of questions we had when creating this theme.
Rin was ported to Textpattern with the aid of a little Magic Dust by Stuart (http://thebombsite.com/).
Dopodiché tutto questo bel lavoro verrà rovinato dalla mia personalizzazione, per cui non affezionatevi troppo a questo bel blu.
Comunque uno dei risultati che balzano agli occhi è che finalmente anche su questo blog c’è un modo razionale per navigare negli archivi. Era l’ora.
Che ve ne pare?

Update: sì sì lo so la finestra popup dei commenti è un disastro… mo’ provo a vedere che è successo. E poi mancano tutti i link ai blog e poi e poi e poi. Uff.

  3. Looking good so far. As you’ve reduced the size of the instructions in the right float in the comment form you might consider removing a “br” from above the detail boxes just to level it back up a bit. What do you need to know?

  4. With regard to the comment form and changing the “hidden” details I’m afraid I don’t have a solution at the moment other than deleting the cookies. WP uses a bit of javascript for this and I need to have a look at it. I’m no expert though.

    The post titles are an “h2” which will look a mess if they drop onto 2 lines. My only suggestion for that is to reduce the text size or maybe use something along the lines of “overflow: hidden:” or “overflow: auto;” in the CSS.

    I’ve heard of this problem with the suparchive plug-in before but as I only use the “by cat” version myself I have never experienced it. My advice there would be to go to the forum and post to the suparchive thread in the plug-ins section. I wonder if it is anything to do with the call I use in the menu which specifically points to the current month. I do this so you don’t end up with a huge page containing the whole of your archive. That call will need to be changed each month unless you want to call it in a different way.

  5. I’ve just experimented with changing the call in the URL box to pick up /2004/07 and /2004/08 in the archives and it works fine so the problem seems to be in that archive menu. I wonder if there’s some kind of default limit. I’ll check.

  6. I think you may have picked up the wrong image for the bottom of this page. Double-check. I know there are images with very similar names but using a ”-” instead of a ”_”

  7. Yes there is!! In the rss_suparchive_menu tag you need to set a limit=”” attribute. It defaults to 6 which is why it doesn’t go past December 2004.

  11. Ho il mal di mare. Il primo motivo per cui ho divorziato da mia moglie è che spostava di continuo i mobili, e io che ho l’abitudine di entrare in casa al buio, inciampavo in modo claoroso prendendo delle gran boccate. Il secondo motivo, beh il secondo non te lo dico. Ma che dire? No me piaze, il cambiamento se scelto dagli altri è un trauma. Per cui, vaffanculo.

  15. Ubu, te l’ho già detto e te lo ripeto: dovresti scopare un po’ di più. Il blog è bello, ma era bello anche prima. L’archivio, ok. Anch’io un tempo cambiavo i template in continuazione: ora invece faccio fatica a scrivere sul mio blog, a volte mi dimentico perfino di averne uno. Da un ecceso all’altro, insomma. E’ tutta questione di ragnatele, in fondo: meglio averle sul blog o da un’altra parte? ;-)

  19. I colori del nuovo layout ti rendono leggibile in ufficio (dato che lavoro in un open space) come un documento word.
